Pioneer Park Pioneer Park is 52 acres of natural red rock cliffs and large rocks that provide hours of climbing and fun. What is so great about this is there are climbing, hiking, and exploring opportunities for kids of all ages.

From toddlers all the way up to teens, there are ranging difficultly levels all over the park. There is a small slot canyon in Pioneer Park which is a huge hit with the kids. My kids spent all day here and wanted to come back the next day. There is plenty of climbing and hiking that adults can enjoy as well. This is a whole family pleaser and a must do if you are in St. George.

Jenny's Canyon Jenny's Canyon is located in Snow Canyon State Park. Interesting name since there is no snow but it gets its name for the unique white rock mountains located there.

Jenny's Canyon is a easy half mile trail to a pretty cool slot canyon. The slot canyon is a huge hit with kids. From there you can take a short hike to an awesome overlook that is still pretty easy for small kids with adult supervision.

Pioneer Name Trail One of the more unusual things to do in St. George Utah is also located in Snow Canyon State Park. It is an easy and scenic trail to a cliffside where pioneers had written their names in oil over a hundred years ago. The kids thought this was a super cool experience.

St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm Do you got a dinosaur lover? Then have them see thousands of real live dinosaur foot imprints in their original location that have been preserved.

Sand Dunes

The Sand Dunes are also located in Snow Canyon. This one was one of my kids’ favorites. Think of a giant sandbox, where the sandbox goes on for miles and the sand is red! Bring some sand toys or not and either way your kids will be begging to stay here all day.

Judd's General Store This is a must visit every visit. It is an old fashioned sweets shop with candy, soda, and ice cream. It is right next to the historic pioneer homes, so get a treat and take a stroll through an old fashioned pioneer mini town.
